If you have a blog (and you should ~ hello?) then you will most certainly want to become acquainted with my newest love: Windows Live Writer.
This nifty little program is part of the Windows Live family (think MSN messenger, now Live Messenger) and will make your blogging life easier. I promise. This goes double if you blog with Blogger.
Check it out here: http://windowslivewriter.spaces.live.com/default.aspx
For all you Blogger purists, you know what a pain inserting an image can be after you start the post — it always defaults to the top, messes up your paragraph spacing, and is generally a pain in the butt. Live Writer solves this and SO MUCH more.
For instance, you can:
- Write posts offline and post to draft or publish from Live Writer
- Add photos (we’ve already discussed that) and then add borders or other decorative treatments
- Re-size photos in the post directly
- New plugins that work with Twitter, Digg, and Flickr
- Word count
- Blog Preview beforeposting — a real one (like what WordPress gives you), not the cheesy one Blogger gives you
Do yourself a favor. Run over there and download this — it’s free — to make your life easier. Then run back here and tell me how much you love it.
Oh, and by the way, if you don’t have a blog perhaps this will entice you to start one.
