This school year we will be schooling from home with Georgia Connections Academy. This is an online public school fully accredited in the state of Georgia. It is part of the larger Connections Academy family of schools.
We’re super excited about this change and can’t wait to explore all this school offers ~ and man, is it A LOT!
In addition to your typical curriculum, they offer:
- Electives for elementary grades (including Chinese, sign language, homelife courses, and more)
- Clubs and activities for all interest and ages (Digital Storytelling and Robotics seem to be of interest right now)
- Julliard has partnered with them for Music courses (elementary and up)
- Technology integrated throughout the learning experience
- school sponsored events and outings
- Field trips — Yay! (hard to believe these great educational opportunities are all but extinct in traditional public school)
- and so much more

We plan on keeping you posted on our experience with GACA, but, so far, I’m loving what I see and extremely excited to get started with week with school.
